On September 27, Dare Records Inc. will release Robert Randolph & the Family Band Live In Concert. This definitive, career spanning album was recorded on Robert Randolph & the Family Band's recent U.S. tour and marks the group's first live collection since their 2002 debut album, Live at the Wetlands. It will include such Robert Randolph & the Family Band classics as "Squeeze" and "If I Had My Way." The latter features Blind Boys Of Alabama's Joey Williams, who also guests on Prince's "Walk Don't Walk." Susan Tedeschi, Ryan Shaw, Chuck Campbell and Nigel Hall join in on the Staple Singers' "I'll Take You There" while Shaw, Tommy Sims, Ryan Scott and The Monophonic Horns guest on Earth, Wind & Fire's classic "Shining Star." The collection also includes a tour de force version of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze."

Randolph has toured extensively in support of the critically acclaimed 2010 studio album We Walk This Road. He recently returned from a series of Australian and European dates that included headlining slots at such prestigious events as the Montreux Jazz Festival. A pedal steel guitarist who came out of the sacred steel tradition, Randolph was named one of the 100 Greatest Guitar Players of All Time by Rolling Stone. Spin called his playing "joyously flashy yet never glib or predictable." Randolph received a GRAMMY® nomination for "Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals" for his collaboration with The Clark Sisters on the track "Higher Ground" from the all-star collaboration album Oh Happy Day.

Renowned for their live performances, Robert Randolph & the Family Band haveperformed alongside Dave Matthews Band, Eric Clapton, The Roots, Trombone Shorty and Allen Toussaint. The group has played numerous international festivals, including Bonnaroo, Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival and Australia's Bluesfest. Randolph also plays on the "Experience Hendrix Tour."
